Party at the Zoo!
Head to the Ktown Zoo this weekend for the "Night of the Animals". They are celebrating their 50th anniversary and have a fun program for the whole family. They will roll back time and charge the same admission of the beginning days of the Zoo: € 1.00 and € 0.50 will be charged from 10 am onwards. In addition to the offer of zoo-gastronomy, a medieval village with appropriate culinary art will invite you to explore. There will be ponies, donkeys, rabbits and other animals are presented on the event field. A zoo rally, guided tours, a riding course as well as the feeding of the bactrams, otters and meerkats are further program points. Also the falconry will offer special program points on this day. Wine Fest - Kid Friendly!
KIRCHEIMBOLANDEN — will host a wine festival that’s not to be missed! Food will also be served from local restaurants and wine taverns as they will offer delicious eats throughout the town. Local restaurants and wine taverns offer culinary delicacies throughout the old part of town. Visitors can sample wines from the Donnersberg region. Vendors provide a large offer of goods. The festival features a varied entertainment program from Saturday through Monday. It starts at 5 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday ballet and dance performances are held in the Schlossgarten at 11 a.m. Visitors can listen to the organ concert “Best of Bach” at the St. Paul´s Church at 6 p.m. Stores are open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. The festival ends with fireworks at 10.30 p.m. on Monday. This year the German-American friendship celebration takes place for the second time and will be celebrated with a big fair at John-F.-Kennedy-Platz in Ramstein. Opening times of the booths are Friday from 6 p.m. until midnight, Saturday from 5 p.m. until midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come out to enjoy musical performances, a variety of foods and beverages, and a family fun program on Sunday including bull riding at noon, face painting and balloon twisting. .
