Landgraves' Festival Pirmasens

Head back to the 18th century when Landgrave Ludwig IX ruled the town and enjoy this medieval festival in his commemoration!  Hand-made goods and craftsmanship demonstrations can be appreciated and delicious medieval delicacies will satisfy your appetite (there will also be standard fare).  Jugglers, magicians, clowns, and other medieval talent will be entertaining visitors.  A fire show takes place at 1830 on Friday and 1900 on Saturday. On Sunday stores open for Sunday shopping from 1300 until 1800. The festival will take place at Schloßplatz und Fußgängerzone (walkplatz), 66953 Pirmasens.  Open Friday March 23rd 1400-1900, Saturday March 24th 1100-1900, Sunday March 25th 1100-1800.  www.pirmasens.de



Homburg Pottery Market


Head to Homburg for it's 20th ceramic market.  100 artisans from all over Germany, France and Benelux will be presenting their beautiful pottery and works of art.  There will be a great selection of items from the artists, within every price range, ranging from useful utility items to extraordinary pieces of art. There will be Easter decorations, art sculptures, ceramic mosaic garden tables, and much more.  For the children, there will be an opportunity to excavate items and create their own unique works of pottery.  There will also be Sunday shopping on March 25th from 1300-1800.  The pottery market is open Saturday, March 24th 1000-1800 and Sunday, March 25 1000-1800.  Talstrasse, Homburg, 66424. www.saarpfalz-touristik.de


Landstuhl Elementary and Middle School Spring Carnival!

Come out this Saturday, March 24th for an afternoon of fun.  They have many great activities planned including face painting, wacky hair salon, raffle and silent auction, photo booth, chili cook-off, stuffed animal walk and more!  Spring Carnival is open to all in the KMC and runs from 1100-1500.  See flyer for more details.

Strohwelten or World of Straw

This event is a bit further from RAB and will take you about 2 hours driving time. Head out to Ludwigsburg to see an impressive display of straw creations, walk the beautiful palace gardens, have some lunch, do some crafts, and be in awe of the 10,000 hand painted eggs on display.  Definitely worth the drive!  This years theme is Noah's Ark, and the massive Ark of straw is not to be missed.  Im blühenden Barock Ludwigsburg, Im blühenden Barock, 71640 Ludwigsburg  The event has already begun and will continue until April 22nd. Admission cost is €9 per adult and €4.50 per child
