Easter Egg show in Kaiserslautern-Siegelbach
Bring the kids out to the annual Easter Egg show in Siegelbach where 20 artists will be showcasing their egg inspired works of art. You will find the artists have dyed and created beautiful Easter eggs using both traditional and modern techniques. These items will be available for sale and make great mementos and/or gifts. Adults and children are also encouraged to create and dye their own Easter eggs using all natural dyes provided at the event. Visit the cafeteria, which will be decorated in beautiful spring flowers, and enjoy some coffee and home-made cakes and desserts. Entrance fee is 1 Euro for adults and free for children.

Although Spring doesn't officially start until the end of March, Germany is getting into the spirit early! Head to Alzey, about 40 minutes from RAB, for the afternoon and enjoy some spring festivities. From 1 pm to 6 pm, the Alzeyer shops open their doors and invite guests with some lively spring and summer fashions and "clever actions". They will transform the shopping street into a sea of flowers. There will be lots of great offers and promotions, action on the streets for both adults and kids, music, and delicious food.

Kandel Easter Market
Come out this Saturday and Sunday, March 3rd and 4th, for one of the first Easter markets in the area. The theme of this Ostereiermarkt is "Alles run um's Ei", or everything around the egg. Around 35 exhibitors from Germany and abroad will offer their creative works of art using eggs from chicken, quail, ostrich, goose, duck, swan and crane. There will be beautifully painted and decorated eggs with bright colors, pearls, gold, rhinestones and more, created using different artistic techniques. Sommertagsumzug...Summer Day Parade!
Head to Hassloch this Sunday, March 4th, for their traditional Spring parade to bid winter farewell! This Spring parade is one of the largest in the region and will have multiple floats, participants in costume, or other great surprises for spectators. The parade will travel about 2 kilometers over a 2 hour period. At the end of the procession, there will be a large fire lit in the spirit of "burning down winter". There will also be music and entertainment into the evening hours.
There will be a coronation of the princess at 13:45 at the fire station. The Festumzug, or parade, will then begin at 14:00. The event starts at Schillerstrasse, 67454 Hassloch. www.hassloch.de
